Abstract

Program pelatihan Bahasa Inggris di SMP Nagari Salibutan bertujuan membekali siswa dengan keterampilan dasar berbahasa untuk mendukung pengembangan pariwisata lokal. Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif ini mengkaji dampak pelatihan terhadap motivasi belajar dan kesadaran siswa akan pentingnya Bahasa Inggris dalam mempromosikan potensi wisata desa mereka. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan skala kecil ini mampu meningkatkan antusiasme siswa dalam belajar dan memperkuat keterhubungan mereka dengan budaya lokal. Program ini juga mendorong kolaborasi antara sekolah dan masyarakat, membentuk dasar bagi pendidikan yang berorientasi pada pariwisata. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa langkah kecil dalam pendidikan dapat memberikan dampak nyata terhadap pengembangan pariwisata berkelanjutan di daerah pedesaan.
